Exchange Fee Calculator
A round trip (open + close) at a 0.06% taker fee costs 0.12% of position value: $12 on a $10,000 position. Across hundreds of trades, the fee gap between exchanges often decides more than any single trade does.

VIP Tiers Compared: Real Thresholds and Best Rates
Standard rates are only the starting point. All eight venues run VIP ladders reachable by volume, asset balance, or holding the exchange token — picking the right path usually saves more than grinding volume.

Four fastest routes to a lower fee tier
- Check the asset path first. Bybit, OKX and Bitget all accept an asset-balance route: parking funds you already hold qualifies without trading a single extra dollar. It is the cheapest ladder in the game.
- Token shortcuts. Bitget BGB, MEXC MX, KuCoin KCS and Gate GT each qualify or discount on their own, but holding the token carries price risk — compare fees saved against that exposure before buying in.
- Concentrate volume in one venue. VIP is scored on rolling 30-day volume, so splitting flow across five exchanges means qualifying at none. Pick a primary venue and keep the rest for small positions.
- Chase maker rates, not tiers. VIP discounts cut maker fees far harder than taker fees (Bybit tops out at 0% maker). Switching from market to limit orders often saves more than an entire tier upgrade.
Frequently asked questions
Maker vs taker — what is the difference?
Taker orders execute immediately against the book and pay the higher fee. Maker orders rest on the book and pay the lower (sometimes zero) fee. Most market orders are taker.
Are fees charged on margin or position value?
On full position value. A 0.06% taker fee at 20x leverage consumes 1.2% of your posted margin per side — one of the least-noticed costs of high leverage.
Which fees does this table use?
The published standard futures fee ranges of each exchange as tracked in our rankings — VIP tiers, token discounts and promos can lower them. The Visit links open the platform where you can verify current rates.
